Walking around the back property this winter the dried remnants of the fall plants caught my attention. It’s always a show in the fall when things are turning and the fall flowers are blooming, but the subtle beauty of these “dead” plants took me by surprise. The colors with the mixed textures felt dreamy and I just loved the swirls found in the flatsedges! Inspired, I gathered flatsedge, bluestem, and goldenrod to put together a bouquet to paint.
